Funeral services set for India Alexis Perry, 25

Funeral service for a 25 year old woman who died unexpectedly are scheduled for Saturday.

Funeral services for India Perry will be Saturday, March 6, 2021-1:00 p.m. at the Greater New Antioch Baptist Church.301 Sherrouse Avenue Monroe, La. Visitation will be Friday, March 5, 2021-3:00-5:00pm Family Hour -6:00 pm at the King Ollie Missionary Baptist Church 3903 Harvester Drive, Monroe, La.

According to family members, Ms. Perry felt ill last and drove herself to the hospital. After being checked, she was admitted with pneumonia symptoms and later died. The family does not suspect the death to be COVID related.

India Alexis Perry was born October 23, 1996, to Christi Perry and Roy Price in Monroe La. at EA Conway Hospital.

When she was born she had a red dot in the middle of her forehead like an Indian from India. She attended Shady Grove Elementary School, High, Shadow Hill Jr. High Pete Knight High School of Palmdale California Ouachita Parish High School and graduated from Richwood Parish High School in May 2016. Some of her school activities Dance Team, Dandelions Richwood Concert Choir. She accepted Christ at the King Ollie Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of her grandfather Pastor John L. Perry Sr where she was an active member of the choir and liturgical dance ministry.
At the time of her death, she was employed at McDonalds in West Monroe, La.
She departed this life on Saturday, February 27, 2021, at the Oschners/LSU Monroe Medical Center in Monroe, La.

She leaves to cherish her memories: A loving daughter Avery Walker of Monroe, La. mother Christi Perry, Father Roy Price, three brothers Cpl. David Perry, Camp Pendleton, and Jonathan Perry, and Caleb Perry of Monroe La. One sister Kirrianna Wright of Monroe, La. Maternal Grandparents – Rev. John L. and Min. Mary Williams Perry Sr. of Monroe, La. two Aunts Pia Williams, Minister Candice (Rev. John L. ) Russell II both of Monroe La. Donna Wilson, Mattie Higgins, and Rosemary Price three Uncles: Rev John L. (Tuesday) Perry Jr . of Chattanooga Tn. , Carlos ( Michelle) Perry and Verges Taylor ( Tiffany) both of Monroe, La Alex Price, Michael Price, and Allen Price. A host of Cousins family and friends.
