Scripture: He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God? The LORD’s voice crieth unto the city, and the man of wisdom shall see thy name: hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it. Are there yet the treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked, and the scant measure that is abominable? Shall I count them pure with the wicked balances, and with the bag of deceitful weights? For the rich men thereof are full of violence, and the inhabitants thereof have spoken lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth. Therefore also will I make thee sick in smiting thee, in making thee desolate because of thy sins. Thou shalt eat, but not be satisfied; and thy casting down shall be in the midst of thee; and thou shalt take hold, but shalt not deliver; and that which thou deliverest will I give up to the sword. Thou shalt sow, but thou shalt not reap; thou shalt tread the olives, but thou shalt not anoint thee with oil; and sweet wine, but shalt not drink wine (Micah 6:8-15 KJV).
Dear LORD Our Heavenly Father,
This child of Yours, undoubtedly among others is questioning, why Your funds and knowledge entrusted to some of Your more affluent children are obviously not being used to greatly improve the financial strata and actual living conditions of Your less fortunate ones?
Recently, as usual, great battles took place to determine whether to give more funds to Your wealthy children and a mere “pittance” to Your starving, homeless, jobless children. It appears that You chose to Divinely intervene that time on behalf of Your poor children.
However, some of Your more affluent children chose to increase prices, and drastically lower their quantity and quality of Your goods, in order to increase their already “overloaded” pockets, as usual.
This writer is advising them to take a few minutes of their scheming, cunning, times not so usual and read Your aforementioned text for this message and enumerable others in accord with them, also. Even though You have closed many of Your Bible book stores for various reasons (Amos 8:4-13) and others, a few Bibles may be located in the homes of various deceased church members if their posterities (children) did not feel their trash cans with them after their demise.
LORD, this child of Yours has another important question to ask You. After noting several of Your children suffering acute pains in various parts of their bodies, they painfully tried to relieve their pain and shared with me their enumerable attempts to get relief. To their utter dismay, the usual over-the-counter medicine they had been taken over the years, even given to them by their parents who also relied on the same “products” for early-pain relief, found no relief!!! Soooo, they switched to other guaranteed over-the-counter pain relief medicines and home remedies and nothing helped. They finally resorted, due to their acute pain, to medicine described by doctors or emergency room personnel and discovered to their painful horror what was prescribed in many instances-some were warned in advanced and others not found to their horror the prescribed medicines was/is addictive. Now, they dwell in a sleep filled, dreamy, painful drowsy days. What now, Lord?
