LaTyara Louis-Cooper, one of five members of the Louis family who tested positive for Coronavirus, recently awakened from a near death battle with the virus with words of praise on her lips. Her praise to God and her caregivers came even though she learned that both her father and mother have died from COVID19 related illnesses in the last two weeks.
Louis posted a video from her hospital bedroom acknowledging that she looked “a hot mess” but gave praise to God and her friends for lifting her up in prayer.
Her brother, Mayoral Candidate Fred Louis, tested positive for the virus but was released to his home on self-quarantine.
Her post, Louis said: “Hello everybody, I just want to say that I love you guys, I thank y’all for all your prayers. Forget how horrible I look, because I do look a hot mess. But I just wanted to take this time to thank everybody for praying, for keeping me lifted up.
I also wanted to just give a little bit of my testimony because it’s so awesome, I was telling my aunt Regina, as everything has been slowly coming back to me. As y’all know, they had me sedated.
“Now I was unconscious, they had me in a coma, so I was unconscious, but this is how good God is, how he would comfort you in your time of need…”
“The thing was God was keeping me comforted in that hour, in that time he was telling me that it was okay. He was using different ones to give me the up, different ones… it was the Holy Spirit… you guys was praying for me.
And I made that connecting this morning. Everyone that was giving me the thumbs up, that was telling me that it was going to be okay, you guys were praying for me. You was lifting me up in prayer. Thank you Jesus for that, thank you Lord for the prayer warriors, thank you Lord for those that were able to get a prayer through…”
“The Lord has told me, we got to do it his way, or no way at all. It’s going to have to be done exactly the way he want it done, or there is no power behind it. It’s got to be said exactly how he say it, or there is no strength in it. If we want him to have our back to back up what’s going to be said, we have to do it his way.
But I just wanted you guys know that I saw you, I saw your prayers in my subconscious. I saw y’all praying for me, I saw y’all telling me it’s going to be okay, I saw y’all waving. Thank y’all for praying for me, thank you for loving me, thank you for being my strong tower, for being my strength. I love all of y’all. From the bottom of my heart I love all of y’all.
I am on oxygen for a little bit, but this ain’t going to last long either. I am coming out of this too. So this is just a mask thing right here I want to tell everybody my testimony, part of it anyway. To tell y’all that I love y’all, that I appreciate y’all, and keep on living right.
Y’all if you are not living right, please get right. Please get right. No man knows the day nor the hour that the “son of man” should appear.
You don’t know when the Lord is going to call you, cause my precious mother, and my precious father are gone. And I never would have thought that would be. My heart is still breaking but God is making me stronger and I am going to carrying them with me everywhere I go because they invested so much in me, so I got to give it back, and to the best of my ability I am going to do that.
If you are not right… please get it right. God is sending out a warning through this disease. God is letting us know ain’t no cure but him, he is the only answer.
I still need your prayers, keep me lifted and I will pray for you guys. Love y’all.”
