The project is classified as Building Construction. All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid and all additive alternates and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana, countersigned by a person who is under contract with the surety company or bond issuer as a licensed agent in this State and who is residing in this state. No Bid Bond indicating an obligation of less than five percent (5%) by any method is acceptable.
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana and shall be countersigned by a person who is contracted with the surety company or bond issuer as agent of the company or issuer, and who is licensed as an insurance agent in this State, and who is residing in this State, in an amount equal to the 100% of the contract amount.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after receipt of bids, except under the provisions of Act 111 of 1983.
A mandatory pre-bid conference will be February 18, 2022, at 9:00 A.M., at the Ransom Elementary School Site existing cafeteria. 420 Wheelis Street, West Monroe, LA 71291. Bids shall be accepted only from Contractors who attend the Pre-bid Conference.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
