Coaches rountable, hamburger lunch slated

A high school coaches roundtable and hamburger lunch on Friday, July 28, will provide funds for a local benevolent agency and an opportunity for football fans to get a preview of the season at area high schools.

The event will be held in the gym complex of First United Methodist Church of West Monroe, 1411 Glenwood Drive. Grilled hamburger plates, including trimmings, chips, dessert, and regular or diet cola drinks or water, will be served from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The coaches roundtable will begin at noon. Football coaches from Carroll, Sterlington, Ruston, Ouachita, West Ouachita, Neville, Wossman, West Monroe and Ouachita Christian high schools have been invited to speak.
Profits from the $10 charge for each hamburger plate will be donated to Families Helping Families of Northeast Louisiana, an agency that provides a variety of services to disabled children and their families.

Sponsors are the Rotary Club of West Monroe and Modern Woodmen of America.

Lunches can be delivered to groups of 10 or more in the Monroe-West Monroe area.
Tickets and information are available from members of the Rotary Club of West Monroe or by contacting the Rev. Jon Tellifero at 387-0511.
