Celebrating the life and legacy of Sister Yolando Michelle Jenkins “Lou Lou”

Yolando Michelle Jenkins was born on May 12, 1982, in Monroe, Louisiana to the union of Cozie Jenkins and the late Robert Augurson. Yolando was called home on Saturday, April 4, 2020, at St. Francis Hospital. She was a graduate of Neville High School and Career Technical College in Monroe, Louisiana. She worked as a Janitor at Chase Bank in Monroe, Louisiana. She loved her family and friends. She confesses Christ and was Baptized at The Progressive Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend O.W. Billups, Sr. She served on the Senior Usher Board and Kitchen Committee. She was proceeded in death: her father, Robert Augurson; brother, Cedrick Lee Jenkins; Grandparents, Reuben and Laura Jenkins.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her daughter, Laderricka D. Jenkins (Monroe, Louisiana), her mother and stepfather, Cozie Jenkins and the late Curtis Hollis Jr.; sisters, Gwen Bailey (Monroe, La), Dannielle Jenkins (Mesquite, Texas); brothers, Chris O. Jenkins, William D. Jenkins, Robert Bailey, Quantn Augurson, Donta Ferrand, all of Monroe, Louisiana; Maxie Bailey (Mesquite, Texas); uncles, aunts, cousins, co-workers; Mrs. Dora McDowell and Mr. George Lowen (Monroe, Louisiana) and friends.
Her services were held Saturday, April 11, 2020, at 12:00 noon, at Hester Central State Funeral Home. Final resting place, Magnolia Cemetary (Monroe, Louisiana).
