Carver-McDonald Brach Library located at 2941 Renwick St., Monroe, LA., will host presenter, Rob Lloyd, Author & Radio Station-Mix 101.9, on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., with a book talk and signing of his book, “Burnin’ On The Bayou!” You do not want to miss it! Rob Lloyd has been involved in music for over 40 years. He started in high school as an award-winning drummer and section leader at Morehouse High School. Rob attended Southern University and was a member of the marching band, “The Crowd Pleasers.” Rob moved to Milwaukee, WI in 1970 where he continue his education and at the University of Wisconsin is where he studied Fine Arts. In the late ‘70’s Rob was a music critic for a national college magazine based in New Orleans. His career carried him to the San Francisco Bay area where he was a graphic designer in Silicon Valley. Rob is currently the mid-day personality on an R & B station called Mix 101.9. Rob states that he feels he is in the right place at the right time. Giving back and making a difference is such a wonderful blessing.
