Audit claims bookkeeper took cash, but all deposits were right

A former school bookkeeper is struggling to clear her name after a state Legislative Audit Report showed $43,799 in cash was missing from Carroll High School’s deposits over three years.

Marilyn Wimbush, the former bookkeeper for Carroll, says she deposited all funds she received from various school accounts and has no idea how the district’s accounting records differed from bank statements.
