A 10-year-old Monroe boy is in the hospital after being shot in the leg while in his own home.
According to Monroe police, a shot was fired inside the home in the 1300 block of South 3rd Street and struck the boy around 1:00 am Monday.
The boy is currently being treated with non-life threatening injuries at LSU-Shreveport hospital.
Detectives are working to develop leads on the case.
