NOTICE OF INTENTION TO ANNEX CITY LIMITS

 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a request to extend the City limits of Monroe as provided in Title 33, Section 172, to the Revised Statutes of 1950, as amended, is on file with the City Clerk of Monroe, Louisiana.  The request included the following described tract of land:
 
A certain tract or parcel of land described ±32 acre tract of land requesting that the City Council extend and enlarge the boundaries of the City of Monroe, Louisiana, to include said property within said boundaries, and

TOGETHER WITH all that portion of land within Bayou DeSiard lying westerly of the left descending water’s edge of Bayou DeSiard along the west boundary of said Egret Landing Subdivision Unit 1 up to and contiguous with the west edge of the water of Bayou DeSiard as described in Ordinance No. 11351, dated December 11, 2012 by the City of Monroe and containing 15.9 acres of land, more or less, and being subject to any rights-of-way or servitudes, whether in use or of record.

WHEREAS, there has been continuously on file in the office of the Clerk of the City of Monroe, Louisiana, for more than ten (10) days prior hereto, a detailed description of said property, together with a plat thereof, and

WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City of Monroe to incorporate the said property into the boundaries of the City of Monroe, Louisiana.

NOW, THEREFORE:

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Monroe, Louisiana, in legal session convened, that the boundaries of the City of Monroe be and they are hereby extended and enlarged so as to include therein, the ±32 acre tract previously described:

      The following Ordinance was introduced by Mrs.  Ezernack who moved for its adoption and was seconded by Mr.  Wilson:

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING JAMES MAYO, MAYOR, TO ENTER INTO AND EXECUTE A LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF MONROE AND H.D. GRAPHICS, INC. AT THE AIRPORT, FOR CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE MONROE REGIONAL AIRPORT, AND FURTHER PROVIDING WITH RESPECT THERETO.
 
 BE IT ORDAINED, by the City Council of the City of Monroe, in legal session convened, that James Mayo, Mayor, be and he is hereby authorized and empowered, for and on behalf of the City of Monroe, Louisiana, to enter into and execute a Lease Agreement between the City of Monroe and H. D. Graphics, Inc at the Airport, a copy of said Lease Agreement setting forth the terms and conditions thereof, being annexed hereto and made a part hereof.
 
 BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that under the provisions of the Louisiana Revised Statute 33:4712 that prior to the final adoption hereof, notice of this Ordinance shall be published in the official journal three (3) times within fifteen (15) days, one week apart and that any opposition hereto must be made in writing, filed with the Clerk of the Council within fifteen (15) days of the first publication.

ORDINANCE

NO. 11,404

 The following Ordinance was introduced by Mrs.  Ezernack who moved for its adoption and was seconded by Mr. Clark:

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING JAMES E. MAYO TO EXECUTE SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT NO. 1 TO THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT WITH DENMON ENGINEERING CO., INC. ENTERED INTO JANUARY 27, 2012 AND FURTHER PROVIDING WITH RESPECT THERETO:

 WHEREAS, the City of Monroe and Denmon Engineering Co., Inc. have previously entered into an agreement for professional services related to  the Statewide Flood Control Application for the Georgia St. – Winnsboro Road Area and Rochelle St. – Roselawn St – 11th St. Area, and

      WHEREAS, the parties desire to amend the scope of the agreement heretofore entered into between the parties to amend Article 2, Phase 1 and Article 2, Phase 2 of the original contract, all as is more specifically detailed in the attached Supplemental Agreement #1 attached hereto and made a part hereof.

 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Monroe, Louisiana, in legal session convened, that James E. Mayo, Mayor, is hereby authorized to enter into and sign all necessary documents to effectuate Supplemental Agreement No. 1 to the professional services agreement between the City of Monroe and Denmon Engineering Co, Inc., as per the attached Supplemental Agreement No. 1.
