The Rayville Rosenwald/Eula D. Britton High School Alumni Association is announcing a half price membership drive

WHERE: Rayville Rosenwald/Eula D. Britton High School

From August – December 2014. Membership in the Alumni Association is open to any person who is interested in preserving the legacy of this great historic school and the gymnasium as the only remaining structure. School graduates are encouraged to support this institution which was the foundation for their future. Community supporters are urged to join the association with all rights and privileges of any alumni member. Membership dues are tax deductible. Scouting for Food Kickoff…

WHERE: The Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana

Your Cans Matter: The Louisiana Purchase Council, Boy Scouts of America and the Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana will hold a press briefing for the 2014 Scouting for Food canned food drive at 4:00 p.m. Representatives of the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, as well as the Food Bank, will be on hand to provide interviews regarding this 27th annual food drive. Good visuals will be available of the Scouting for Food Bags and of Scouts in uniform. Individuals will be asked to fill Scouting for Food bag and place them on their porches or entryways by 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 8th for pickup by Scouts. Additional details about this coordinated drive aimed to collect thousands of pounds of food in Northeast Louisiana and Central Louisiana will be available at the briefing.
